Great brunch place! The Lama Special is great: two eggs, two pancakes (with butter and maple syrup), bacon and some fruit (price: 15 taxes). It was very tasty, and the pancakes were especially soft. The food was ready very quickly! Even though the kitchen is open, the place does not smell thickly of food.
We love the food, seating options and friendliness of the staff. Highly recommend.
We are not from the area, and just wanted a sit down dinner before getting on Amtrak to Seattle. Menu from looking on line looked good. I had the wild mushroom fettuccine. Excellent pasta and sauce, with plenty of mushrooms. Wife ordered the BBQ pork sandwich. Very nice combination of slight sweet and spicy background. Excellent. Sister in law ordered the mushroom fritters, whoa .. great. Brother ordered the fish n chips. Again, good. Now the icing on the cake, the cranberry cream pie was flat amazing. Staff was friendly, food came fast. Very reasonable prices as well. Great dinner!!!
First time visiting Lama Beans for breakfast and I can confidently say this is one of the best breakfast spots in all of Berkeley. Food is of amazing quality, the service is amazing. You walk in grab a menu then order at the front, table service starts after 5pm. Atmosphere is great located next to Gilman so right off the Freeway. If you’re interested in expanding and exploring new breakfast spots Lama beans should be next on your list.
Service was quick and staff was super friendly. It was the best french toast I have ever had.
I had the most delicious breakfast at a Lama beans breakfast restaurant in town. The lama beans were cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with the rest of the dish. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend this spot for breakfast!
Really nice people and delicious food. The coffee comes in a cute large mug. They were able to make the California Benedict for me without diary or gluten. Not so great area of town, but very comfortable inside
To start off, the staff and service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. The Bloody Mary was a little underwhelming with the overall flavor and garnishes. The California Benedict and Bagel Delux were exquisite, unique flavors and a lovely presentation and the portion sizes were perfect on each plate. We left feeling adequately full but not overstuffed and very satisfied
